This week, I am pleased to introduce you to the cultural mediation podcast "Without eyes" proposed by the Musée de Cluny - Musée National du Moyen âge, which gives the microphone to craftswomen and craftsmen, experts in their fields, to guide its listeners through a work of their choice. Each episode highlights a profession, a viewpoint and a sensitivity, to shed light on the diversity of medieval art. By questioning the know-how of today's craftswomen and craftsmen, this new podcast helps us to better understand the works of yesterday.
I would like to thank Anne Sophie Grassin, deputy head of the cultural service and public policy of the Cluny Museum, who invited me to put my jeweler's eye on a magnificent jewel from the Colmar Treasury. The Museum is currently closed for renovation and will reopen in the spring. This will be an opportunity for you to see this work in real life! I won't tell you more and let you listen and imagine, "Without eyes"...
